03Where this usually starts

Common challenges I help with

If one of these sounds like your operation, it is a good first conversation.

01

“We know we should be doing something with AI, but nobody can tell us where to start.”

02

“Inquiries come in and sit for hours before anyone gets back to them.”

03

“We bought an AI tool, used it for two weeks, and quietly stopped.”

04

“We spend money on marketing and cannot tell what is actually working.”

What is slow follow-up costing you?

Move the sliders to match your business. The slower a lead hears back, the less likely it is to buy.

Illustrative estimate. Leads contacted within an hour are far more likely to convert than those contacted later (Harvard Business Review, “The Short Life of Online Sales Leads”).

06Background

Business first,
technology second

I bring a business and strategy background to AI implementation.

My early work was in campaign strategy, then financial services, where accuracy and discretion were the baseline. I also grew up around several family-owned businesses, with hands-on experience across acquisition, operations, and sale: practical exposure to where a business generates margin, and where it quietly loses it. The result is work that is commercially grounded and measured by outcomes, not experiments.

07Questions

Before we speak

Where are you based, and who do you work with?

Jay Patel Consulting is based in Chicago, at 211 W Wacker Dr, Ste 120, Chicago, IL 60606. I work with solo founders, small businesses and larger organizations in Chicago and the suburbs, and remotely with clients anywhere in the US.

What do you specialize in?

Speed-to-lead automation that answers every new inquiry in under a minute, AI search visibility (getting recommended by ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI), 3D and interactive websites, workflow automation with tools like Make.com and n8n, and custom AI assistants connected to the systems a business already uses.

Do you only work on AI projects?

No. Much of the work is growth and operations: a website that converts, a follow-up process that stops leads going cold, cleaner reporting, a pricing review. AI is one tool among several, used where it clearly outperforms the alternatives.

Do I need to know what I want built?

No. Most conversations begin with a description of what is slow or frustrating rather than a specification. Working out what is worth building, and in what order, is part of the engagement.

How are engagements priced?

Fixed price against a written scope, agreed before any work begins. Larger projects are divided into stages so the commitment stays proportionate to what has been proven so far.

Who owns what you build?

You do. Code, accounts, credentials, and documentation are handed over on completion. Nothing is structured in a way that creates an ongoing dependency on me.

What happens to our data?

It stays yours. Systems are built inside your own accounts and infrastructure wherever practical, and anything shared during an engagement is treated as confidential.
